Regina “Queen” Saraiva is a Brazilian-born eurodance vocolist that had several hits in 1997. She only had one big hit in the United States and it was called “Day by Day”, whcih peaked on the Billboard Charts at number 11.

Carmen Miranda whose birth name is Maria do Carmo Miranda da Cunha is a Portuguese-born Brazilian Samba singer and motion picture star. She was nicknamed Carmen by her father, because of his love of the opera Carmen by Georges Bizet. Carmen’s legacy was instrumental in systhesizing, divulging and popularizing samba.
